Turkmenistan creates a new link in the transport and logistics system.

A modern international airport complex will be built in the village of Jebel in the Balkan region. Its construction is another step towards expanding the national infrastructure in the East-West and North-South directions. Jebel is a major transport hub, a transshipment point on the highway of the Ashgabat-Turkmenbashi automobile and railway. According to the project, passenger and cargo terminals, a modern artificial runway with a length of 3,200 meters, two taxiways and a parking lot designed for six aircraft and four helicopters will be built. The capacity of the airport complex is 100 passengers per hour. The new international airport will increase the volume of passengers and cargo flows by air transport, will give an impetus to the development of logistics.
The construction of the new international airport complex is financed by a loan agreement concluded between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development. The construction contractor will be determined on the basis of a tender.  The foundation of the new International Airport in the village of Jebel was laid on July the 14th with the participation of Esteemed President of the country. The work should be completed in three years.
