The event was organized under the auspices of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Economic Cooperation Organization under the chairmanship of Turkmenistan in 2021 in the ECO . The current forum joined together representatives of government bodies, public organizations and business structures of the ECO member states. The participants paid the main attention to the expansion of business ties, mobilization of investments in the implementation of mutually beneficial projects, cooperation in trade and economic as well as transport and logistics sectors.
The Secretary General of the ECO Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan made welcoming speech.
The business program of the forum was held in the format of three thematic sessions and included speeches made by representatives of the ECO member states, as well as heads of relevant ministries and government agencies, and private companies. The speakers discussed issues of digitalization and the creation of electronic trading platforms, presented initiatives and proposals to expand mutually beneficial investment cooperation in industry, agricultural sector, construction, production of building materials, tourism, as well as to create joint projects in these areas. A separate thematic session was devoted to one of the priority vectors for enhancing cooperation in the transport and logistics sector, focused on using the multimodal transit potential of the ECO member states.
The ECO platform has become an effective tool for establishing and developing cooperation in all directions between the member states, as well as the business circles of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
