On this topic, on April 28, 2022, a video conference was held between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Union “Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan”. Representatives of the national Association “Turkmen Logistics” took part in the conference.
In their welcoming speech to the audience, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan Shamil Ageev and the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Dovletgeldi Rejepov emphasized the relevance of such events in the context of the agreements reached at the highest interstate level on the development of strategic partnership. The video conference was also attended by the Consul General of Turkmenistan in Kazan Atadurdy Bayramov, the representative of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan for the Turkmen Trade House in Kazan Begendik Artykov and the representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan in Turkmenistan Nepes Nepesov.
The speeches of the participants were preceded by a video clip about their countries. A video presentation on the activities of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and Tatarstan was also shown. In his speech, deputy Chairman of the Union “CCI of the Republic of Tatarstan” Dmitry Shevelev told about the territories of advanced social and economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan, called TASED (territories of advanced socio-economic development), which have facilitated business modes, with the necessary infrastructure to create favorable conditions for attracting investments.
The main focus during the discussion was on the development of cooperation in such areas as light and textile industry, agriculture, transport and logistics. Presentations of opportunities and potential for development of cooperation in these spheres were made by deputy General Director of the Textile Complex named after Turkmenbashi of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan Gusein Guseynov.
Expressing interest in establishing contacts for the purchase of fabrics, accessories, cotton, knitwear and other raw materials, head of the Textile and Light Industry Committee of the Union “CCI of the Republic of Tatarstan” Irina Kupryahina, in her turn, offered cooperation in training specialists in the field of light industry. In this regard, the “System of dual vocational-technical education” introduced in the Republic of Tatarstan was mentioned. Deputy minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan focused on cooperation in importing fruits and vegetables and the construction of long-term storage facilities, and also invited participants to the annual agro-industrial exhibition AgroVolga 2022, which will be held on July 6-8 in the city of Kazan, where about 400 companies from all regions of the Russian Federation will take part and more than 15 thousand visitors are expected. On behalf of the national Association “Turkmen Logistics” made a presentation about the activities of the organization.
At the end of the meeting, the participants noted that it was held in a constructive manner, was useful for both parties and expressed hope for further expansion of mutually beneficial relations.
