On May 16, 2022- an online conference was organized between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic. The bilateral meeting was attended by representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two countries, the Ministry of Textile industry of Turkmenistan, the Union of industrialists and entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the National Association “Turkmen Logistics”, private enterprises exporting various consumer goods, as well as representatives of private business of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Taking the floor with welcoming speech, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Dovletgeldy Rejepov and the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakhtiyar Mukhamedziev noted the importance of this meeting in the context of growing strategic partnership between the states. The potential of the textile industry, the possibility of cooperation in the export of agro-industrial products, confectionery and dried fruits, as well as the transport and transit potential of Turkmenistan were demonstrated.
Turkmen side expressed interest on the speeches and proposals of the Kyrgyz side, particularly the presentation on the tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan from «Ak-Sai Travel» LLC, the possibilities of the «Naryn» free economic zone (FEZ) of Naryn region, the pharmaceutical company «Aronia Pharm» LLC, left particular interest on the Turkmen side.
As a result of the videoconference, the parties expressed gratitude and showed a great interest in the development of extensive economic cooperation between friendly states.
