On July 1, 2022, a meeting of business groups of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
The Republic of Turkey is a long-standing major trade and economic partner of Turkmenistan. Regular consultations between the delegations of the two countries help to improve export-import opportunities, increase the volume of trade and strengthen economic cooperation.
During the two-session meeting, the participants discussed the conditions for expanding the export and investment opportunities of the two countries in various fields, the opportunities for expanding cooperation in the field of tourism and related services, as well as in the field of transport and logistics.
The head of the Turkmen part of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish commission on economic cooperation, the deputy minister of construction and architecture of Turkmenistan, representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, as well as the Association of “Turkmen Logistics” made speeches about the opportunities of Turkmenistan.
The business groups of the Republic of Turkey were represented by the president of the Foreign Economic Relations Committee of the Republic of Turkey, the head of the Turkish section of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish commission on economic cooperation, and the head of the Turkish section of the Turkmen-Turkish business council.
Summarizing the results of the forum, both sides noted that during the meeting constructive and business discussions were held in favor of bilateral and comprehensive cooperation.
