On September 02, 2022, a meeting was held via video link between representatives of transport sphere of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. The meeting was attended by representatives of the agencies “Türkmenawtoulaglary”, “Türkmendemirýollary”, the National Association “Turkmen Logistics”, the Turkmen Association of International Road Carriers (THADA) and OJSC “Türkmenistanyň Ulag-logistika merkezi”, as well as JSC “Tajikvneshtrans” and State Unitary Enterprise “Railway Tajikistan”.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues on organizing goods transportation from China to Europe along the international transport route “China-Tajikistan-Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Turkey” and expressed confidence in the efficiency of using this route. Also, a representative of the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan presented a draft action plan for the organization of multimodal transportation of goods along the Kulma-Kulyab-Turkmenistan route. The parties came to a mutual agreement on the study and exchange of views on this issue in future joint meetings.
