A lecture on the theme “The economic significance of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of transport in bilateral intergovernmental groups between Turkmenistan and foreign countries” was organized at the Education Centre on the Priority Areas of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, with the attendance of a specialist of “Turkmen Logistics” Association. The event was held on the framework of joint plan of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the “Turkmen Logistics” Association for the implementation of the “Program for the Development of Transport Diplomacy of the President of Turkmenistan for 2022-2025” and students of the Turkmen State Institute of Finance were invited to it.
During the lesson, the role of transport and logistics topics in the work of trade, economic, scientific and technical intergovernmental commissions, created jointly with neighboring countries of the region and developed economies of the world, and the contribution of the agreements reached within these commissions in promoting mutual trade between countries were discussed. The initiatives, put forward by the Esteemed President during the state visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, on cooperation in the transport sector, such as, the creation of a new transport and transit corridor Tajikistan-Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Turkey, connecting the vast regions of Central and South Asia, the Middle and Middle East, as well as the prospects for organizing multimodal cargo transportation between China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan with access to the seaports of the Persian Gulf and the Caspian Sea were considered as the outstanding examples of intergovernmental cooperation.
The students also got acquainted with the logistics services provided by the members of Association, and were given the opportunity to ask questions on the topic of the lecture and on cargo transportation in general.
