“Turkmen Logistics” Association took an online part at the 12th Asian Trade Forum

On October 12-13, 2022, a two-day regional seminar in a hybrid format was held on the topic: “Digitalization of customs services: on the way to paperless trade”, which was organized by USAID in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The seminar was attended in-person by representatives of WCO, USAID, the Transport and Logistics Partnership (TLP) and other international organizations, representatives of the customs administrations of Central Asia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, South Korea and the EU. Association “Turkmen Logistics” took part in an online format.
The purpose of the event is the digitalization of customs by replacing paper-based procedures with electronic ones, the exchange of “best practices”, in particular, innovations and achievements from around the world, the presentation of digital developments that allow integrating new technologies in order to increase operational efficiency and promote the introduction of new business approaches.
During the event, presentations and reports were made by the Secretary General of TRACECA Permanent Secretariat Intergovernmental Commission, Directorate of the Office for Compliance with Legislation and Requirements of WCO, a representative of the customs service of South Korea and Georgia, as well as representatives of USAID TCA program.
Summing up the results of the forum, the participants noted that a constructive and businesslike exchange of views occurred in favor of closer and more comprehensive cooperation.
