Outreach training session with the students of higher educational establishment.

On April 14, 2022, in order to implement the “Program for the Development of Transport Diplomacy of the President of Turkmenistan for 2022-2025”, within the framework of the joint work plan of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan, an outreach training session was organized to meet with students of abovementioned higher educational establishments and representatives of transport and logistics enterprises.
This training session, organized by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the First Party Organization of the Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan and the faculties of transport and railway transport, was held with the close support of the National Association “Turkmen Logistics”.
Being the first outreach training session, it was deemed appropriate to conduct it in the office building of the private enterprise “Great Silk Road”, which is a member of the National Association “Turkmen Logistics”. The training was aimed at increasing the scientific and educational and practical experience of students, familiarizing them more closely with the work of transport and logistics enterprises and giving a detailed account of the role of this sector in the economy of our country. “Great Silk Road” private enterprise, one of the leading enterprises in the country, was established in September 2010. As a result of its successful work, “Great Silk Road” private enterprise has established itself in the logistics market, providing a wide and reliable logistics services not only in Turkmenistan but also abroad. The key to such success lies in the experience of highly skilled professionals, the innovative information and logistics technologies implemented in the enterprise, the compliance of the services provided with world standards, as well as the rich experience gained through working in Turkmenistan and throughout the region. Today, the company employs more than 140 senior professionals. Since 2017, the company has been the official agent of DHL Express in Turkmenistan, which provides international courier services, exporting and importing international mail by door-to-door delivery to more than 130 countries around the world. In 2020, having signed an official dealer agreement with “Toyota Central Asia”, it became the official dealer of the largest and most popular Japanese car manufacturer in Turkmenistan.
The students had conversations with Multimodal Freight, Rail Freight, Sea and River Freight, as well as Industry Project Specialists to get a closer look at the company’s operations. The work of DHL Express representatives aroused great interest among the students.
At the end of the impressive training session, teachers and students exchanged thoughts with the company’s experts about the question of interest to them in the field of transport and logistics. Noting that the regularity of such effective and resourceful training sessions will lead to further strengthening of the theoretical knowledge gained by the students, deep gratitude was expressed to the management and specialists of the enterprise, as well as to the representatives of the National Association “Turkmen Logistics”, that closely supported the organization of the event. In order to introduce students to the activities of transport and logistics companies such trainings will continue to be held.
