At the online meeting of the business leaders of Turkmenistan and Ukraine, the attention has been drawn up to the potential of the transport and logistics industry.

In the context of cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and Ukraine the meeting of business leaders took place on June the 11th 2021. The Turkmen delegation was headed by Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Dovletgeldy Rejepov, and the Ukrainian delegation was headed by President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine Gennady Chizhikov. Viktor Maiko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in Turkmenistan, and Toyly Atayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in Ukraine, addressed the participants of the online meeting with a welcome speech. Paying special attention to the long-standing historical and cultural ties between the two friendly nations, the diplomats emphasized the existence of mutual interest in the development of mutually beneficial economic partnership and the impressive potential available for this.
Within the framework of partnership proposal, the Ukrainian side focused on the development of e-commerce. And from the Turkmen side the representatives of the textile complex, the “Turkmenkhaly” State Association and agricultural industries have made their own proposals for cooperation.
Addressing the presentation about the activities of the “Turkmen Logistics” Association, the Board member of the Association Oleg Anokhin emphasized the potential and experience gained by Turkmen transport companies, as well as the advantages of working with the Association. Among the reliable partners, special attention was paid to the Association for Transport, Freight Forwarding and Logistics Organizations in Ukraine «UKRVNESHTRANS».
Following the presentation, business representatives held negotiations in the B2B format. Summing up the results of the meeting, the participants were unanimous in their opinion that it was productive and would serve to develop equal and mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and Ukraine.
