Country’s export development potential issues were discussed.

On December 16, 2021 the International conference of Turkmen exporters was held at the chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the development of the country’s export potential on the topic «Achievements and best practices for the effective implementation of the digital economy into the trading system».
The conference was organized by the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan, together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan.
Representatives of the Ministry of foreign affairs, the Ministry of finance and economy, the Ministry of trade and foreign economic relations, the Ministry of agriculture and environmental protection, banking structures, manufacturing companies of export-oriented products and cargo carriers who spoke at the conference, comprehensively revealed the country’s export potential and discussed issues of its effective use in the context implementation of the digital economy.
During three thematic sessions, the “Strategy of foreign trade of Turkmenistan for 2021-2030”, its goals and objectives were heard, as well as reviews of the export products of Turkmenistan were made, also issues of improving their quality, competitiveness and export control were discussed.
The representative of the World Trade Organization emphasized in her speech the importance of state support for exporters, taking into account international experience. The development and strengthening of public-private partnership today is one of the priorities of the policy of the President of Turkmenistan in the context of the transition to a market economy and the implementation of comprehensive socio-economic programs.
Deputy Chairman of the Association “Turkmen Logistics” spoke about the opportunities of the turkmen freight-forwarding companies and the optimal directions for the transportation of turkmen export goods.
In addition, representatives of the “St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange” JSC spoke at the conference about the importance of simplifying and accelerating customs operations and document exchange through the “Single Window System”, and a representative of the International Trade Center (ITC) spoke about the “Trade portal of Turkmenistan” on export, import and transit operations of Turkmenistan and its significance.
The held Conference made it possible to identify decisions of current importance on which it is necessary to focus attention for the effective implementation of the digital economy into the trading system of Turkmenistan.
