The main aspects of the transportation of agricultural products by railway have been discussed today in the course of business meeting organized by the OJSC “Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan” jointly with the “Turkmen Logistics” Association and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
The representatives of public and private sectors of the country’s transport and logistics industry and the members of the UIET – entrepreneurs producing export-oriented agricultural products participated in meeting.
The event has been arranged with the aim to present the “Agroexpress” project – a specialized service provided by JSC “RZD Logistics” and JSC “Russian Export Center” for the delivery of goods of agro-industrial complex (AIC) using accelerated container trains. As emphasized, the route operates on the principle of a “green corridor” and reduces the delivery time for agricultural products. Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, from the CIS countries, joined the project for the delivery of products of agro-industrial complex (AIC) to the Russian Federation and backward direction.
In accordance with the instructions of the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan, the adoption of measures to increase the volume of export of agricultural products that are in demand abroad, the participation of Turkmen transport and logistics companies and agricultural producers in the “Agroexpress” project will increase the supply rate of export goods from our country.
